Smash Burgers in Newcastle City Centre

BURGER-DROP Newcastle Central is inside Fayre Play at The Gate on Newgate Street, right in the middle of the city. It is a few minutes on foot from Eldon Square, Chinatown on Stowell Street and St James' Park, so it works for a quick lunch, a bite before the match or food before a night out. St James and Monument Metro stations are both a short walk away, and plenty of city centre buses stop close by.

This is the home of proper SMASH AND FRIED CHICKEN BURGERS. Our beef is freshly ground and smashed thin on a hot grill so the edges catch and crisp, then stacked in a brioche bun made to our own recipe. Go for the Cheese if you want the classic, the Garlic Butter Mushroom or the Surf & Turf if you are properly hungry, or the Salt & Chilli Chicken if you want crunch and a bit of heat. Add loaded fries, wings or tenders and a shake or mocktail and you are sorted.
